Timme Martijn Chrispijn has joined the Purchasing Department of SMT as of July 6th. For the last five years he has been working with Harding Marine Services Rotterdam B.V. as a Technical Purchaser, and spent the 3 years prior at Wrist/Kooyman Ship Supply as a sales and purchase account manager. His strong background in both procurement and sales will be an asset to SMT where he will be responsible for GBSMT & Bontrup vessels. In his free time, Timme likes to go to the gym or the beach with his wife, but also enjoys gardening. He is a music lover of all varieties. A warm welcome to Timme!



SMT Shipping is happy to welcome Wojciech Chiniewicz as the Manager of the Systems Department for Seestatt. Wojciech has spent his career working in the shipping industry, first coordinating new building projects for various ship owners, and then as a field inspector and eventually as a new building surveyor in PRS and DNV GL. In addition to this experience, Wojciech is also an ISM, ISPS & MLC auditor and has done CAP/Condition Assessment Program projects regarding the evaluation and hull condition of different types of ships. In his free time, Wojciech enjoys water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing and experimenting in his kitchen at home.


SMT wishes the very best to SLAWOMIR PYZ, Director of Construction and Special Projects, on the marriage of his daughter, Angelika. Due to Covid-19, the marriage was a civil ceremony at the Registry Office, followed by a dinner for 25 guests - keeping all required social distancing!
Once the world stabilizes, Slawomir will be able to walk his daughter down the aisle in an official church wedding. Congratulations!



Congratulations to EVEN VIKEN of SMT’s Department on the birth of his son, Herman L. Viken! Adorable Herman was born on May 25, 2020 at 50 cm height and  weighing 3930 gm.  We are delight to welcome Herman Viken as the youngest member of the SMT Family!


SMT wishes heartfelt congratulations to Mr. JAN POT who will retire at the end of August.  Jan worked as a purchaser in SMT’s Netherlands office for almost 10 years and those years of service are very much appreciated. Purchasing Manager Ania Szyszko spoke on behalf of all Jan’s colleagues by stating, “We would like to thank Jan for his commitment, inspiring ideas and for helping to shape the Purchasing Dept in a better way. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with someone so passionate, calm, and professional. You will be greatly missed! Best of luck and enjoy your retirement!
